Matt accepted Christ at 12 and Patience accepted Christ at 14. They met in High School and were married in June 1997. They have a son, Kolten, and daughter, Gracie. Recently a daughter-in-law was added to their family in 2019. In 2011, Patience took a trip to SE Asia to have a better understanding of Asian culture to better support friends that had just recently went to the mission field. Then in 2013, Matt was challenged to step out in faith and take a short-term trip to SE Asia. After that trip, with discipleship of his local church family, he felt a burden to see if God had plans for his families life to serve cross-culturally. Over the next few years they saw God continue to open doors and show them the plans He had for them. They have been so blessed by God encouraging them by His people stepping out and joining them in this mission to see His name glorified among all peoples.
